Best Soulistic Wet And Dry Cat And Kitten Foods Reviewed

Cats are fussy little furballs, especially when it comes to their food.

They’ll refuse to eat what’s good for them and will keep trying to get their paws on your meal, regardless of its ingredients. Some cats might even approach the dog food just because they want to see whether the puppy is getting something better.

Dog food isn’t suitable to meet cat dietary requirements. In fact, not even all cat food is either. Even if you’re buying only high quality cat food for your feline pal, you should may not want to feed it only with dry cat food.

Kitties need to have a well-balanced meal with lots of nutritious ingredients, and they need a mix of dry and wet canned food from time to time.

One of the main advantages of wet food is that it has enough moisture to prevent dehydration. Unlike dry cat food, cans have essential amounts of water mixed with the food. The problem is that most canned cat foods either have grains or allergens in them.

Furthermore, they come in the form of unsightly and bland paste, and your cat probably doesn’t even want to eat half of its bowl before strutting away.

There are tons of wet canned cat food manufacturers these days. Soulistic is one of the newer and better brands out there. Chances are, you’ve probably heard about the brand if you’ve been shopping at PetCo or Amazon for cat food.

What Is Soulistic And Who Makes It?

Soulistic is a holistic cat food brand, made by PetCo. This means the ingredients in their products target everything in your kitty’s body as a whole – digestive system, immune system, the softness of its fur, and so forth.

The people behind Soulistic are firm believers in the idea that the best cat food should be wet and grain-free.

All of their foods are totally grain-free. This means they are suitable for cats with digestive problems, as well as cats with various allergies. Moreover, the food is low in carbohydrates, so it’s also suitable for overweight furballs.

Unlike your typical paste-like canned cat food, Soulistic actually brings something new to the table. Their cans offer whole pieces of meat into which your cat can sink its teeth.

We all know how finicky felines can be. They are whimsical when it comes to their cat toys, napping spots, demands for attention … Every cat owner out there will tell you that the list goes on and on! But surprisingly enough, cats do enjoy Soulistic’s food items. Why? The secret’s in the texture and the flavor.

#1. Nautical Nirvana

Soulistic’s Nautical Nirvana cans are a mixture of tuna and skipjack served in tasty gravy sauce.

As you well know, felines adore tuna and other types of seafood. The Nautical Nirvana blend is grain-free and contains whole fish chunks. That’s right – no paste-like hogwash!

Rich in flavor and natural fish oils, with no fillers and preservatives – this is a heavenly treat for any kitten out there! The high amounts of gravy sauce not only add to the amazing flavor, but also provide essential moist for the cat. Moreover, it’s also rich in a variety of vitamins and minerals, which are vital for your kitty.

Amazon offers an affordable package of a total of 8 cans, each of which is 5.5 oz.

We don’t recommend this food item for everyday meals as too much fish is actually bad for your cat, regardless of its advantages. However, when it comes to spoiling the kitty with a treat every now and then, the Nautical Nirvana is definitely a great option.

#2. Aqua Grill

The Aqua Grill is a mixture of tilapia and tuna served in gravy sauce.

This particular food item will get even the pickiest of cats to eat their supplements and medicines mashed in this food. Adult cats will instantly fall for the Aqua Grill’s taste, scent, and awesome texture. The meat chunks are not only delicious, but also extremely nutritious.

Low in carbohydrates and high on healthy ingredients, the tilapia and tuna mixture is safe for adult felines with various health problems such as diabetes, kidney stones. and obesity. You can grab 8 cans for just over $30 and your cat will love you for every dime you’ve spent!

Again, we don’t recommend using tuna or fish all week long for your cat’s daily meals. Instead, you can either use this food when you’re trying to spice up some of the dry cat food or when you want to treat your fluffy pet with something delicious for a change.

#3. Luna Tuna

This one is among the most popular of all Soulistic food series.

Grain-free and low on carbohydrates like the rest of the brand’s products, the Luna Tuna mixture offers tuna fish served in real pumpkin soup. If you don’t already know this, pumpkin is an essential supplement for cats with digestive problems.

It’s quite controversial, bearing in mind that it can battle both diarrhea and constipation, but there’s no arguing that it’s healthy for your cat. Of course, it should be used only as an additional supplement and shouldn’t be featured in the kitty’s daily meals all year round.

The pouch consists of a total of eight cans of Luna Tuna and they are 3-oz each.

Some cats actually hate pumpkin in all of its forms. In other words, you’ll have to try it for yourself. Let your cat be  the judge.

#4. Double Happiness

Double Happiness is a combination of tuna and crab surimi served in the form of jelly bits.

The product lacks soy, grains, and artificial fillers. It has various healthy ingredients, such as omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, which are essential for the skin and fur. However, while it lacks soy, it still has minimal traces of soy protein. Moreover, there’s also some starch in it.

Regardless of its healthy advantages, we definitely don’t recommend serving Double Happiness to your pet.

If you wish to serve your cat some of the beneficial ingredients Soulistic has to offer, you should opt for the above-mentioned item instead of this particular wet canned food. We’re not saying it’s not tasty – it just has too many potentially harmful contents for your furball’s body.

Whichever option you decide to go for when trying out Soulistic’s wet canned cat food, always keep in mind that cats are in need of lots of moisture, healthy fats, and an overall well-balanced diet, which includes real meal and vegetables.

These are mostly fish-heavy products, so use them sparingly. As occasional treats for a mostly-dry-food-eating cat, they’re great!
